Waldo Díaz‑Balart (b. 1931, Banes, Cuba; d. 2025, Madrid) was a prominent figure in Concrete Art, known for his rigorous geometric compositions in painting and light sculpture. Trained in Havana and New York, he lectured internationally and exhibited in major galleries and biennials. His practice spanned geometric painting, screenprint, and sculptural light works. His output is held in the MoMA, Reina Sofía, Mondriaan House and other collections. His work contributes a disciplined and luminous exploration of abstraction, geometry, and color.
