About the Artist
Diango Hernández (b.1970, Sancti Spíritus, Cuba) studied industrial design in Havana and in 1994 co-founded Ordo Amoris Cabinet. His practice, rooted in painting and mixed media, uses “waves” as metaphor for exile, cultural displacement, and social critique. Exhibiting widely in Europe and North America, Hernández interrogates collective memory and political ideology, merging autobiographical motifs with experimental form.
