About the Gallery
Established in 1989, Johyun Gallery plays a pivotal role in shaping Korean art within the broader context of global contemporary art. The gallery showcases Korea’s postwar and Dansaekhwa masters, such as Park Seo-Bo and Yun Hyong-keun, while supporting mid-career artists like Lee Bae and Jongsuk Yoon and nurturing emerging talents such as Ahn Jisan and Kang Kang-Hoon. Alongside promoting Korean artists, Johyun Gallery introduces domestic audiences to acclaimed international figures like Yayoi Kusama and Pierre Soulages. Operating two locations in Busan, the gallery presents 10 annual exhibitions and participates in major Asian art fairs, strengthening its global presence.
