About the Gallery
Founded in 1970, Gallery Hyundai is Korea’s longest-running contemporary art gallery and has played a key role in the development of the country’s modern art scene. It has supported major Korean artists such as Kim Whanki, Nam June Paik, Seung-taek Lee, and Dansaekhwa artists like Chung Sang-Hwa and Lee Ufan. Under the direction of Hyung-Teh Do, the gallery has expanded its roster to include contemporary Korean artists like Moon Kyungwon, Jeon Joonho, and Minjung Kim, while also introducing renowned international artists to Korea. Gallery Hyundai continues to support pioneering artists through exhibitions and collaborations with museums worldwide, maintaining its dedication to advancing contemporary art.
